Award-winning rapper Ricardo Moloi, popularly known as Priddy Ugly, recently took to his social media to address the trolls and backlash that their pregnancy announcement video titled Dipstick received, especially from Podcast and Chill host McG.

Upon its release, a debate of Dipstick’s appropriateness ensued among the internet users; with some praising the video and perceiving it the coolest way to announce pregnancy, while some thought it was inappropriate to shoot the video with their firstborn child.

Podcast and Chill hosts jumped in the bandwagon, with Sol Phenduka and the Ghost Lady arguing that it was not a bad idea because the child would not understand the clues used to announce the pregnancy like an adult would.

While McG stood alone in the debate and called the video cringe, arguing that Priddy Ugly and his family should not have gone through those lengths to announce their pregnancy, and that they should not have involved the child in the announcement. He also asked what the reason was behind sharing the video on social media because this only involves them, not the public.

Priddy Ugly did not take this lying down, he took to his X (formerly Twitter) to voice his sentiment.

In his tweet, he said that in a time where high divorce rates have turned into a norm, one should celebrate the blossoming black family structures and find beauty in them. If not, then they should look in the mirror.

In a time when global fertility and birth rates are declining, divorce rates are at an all-time high, and the Black Family structure is disadvantaged and under threat.

Seeing a young Black Family grow and blossom, witnessing their relationship stand the test of time – especially…
