If you are curious about the sudden surge in political party gatherings, keep in mind that it is due to the impending elections.

Have you noticed how much the election season lifts artists? Gigs, manifesto launches and other events are being held by different political parties especially the ruling party ANC and the EFF. Oftentimes, we see famous artists attending these events to perform.

This could be perceived as a strategic move aimed at satisfying the public by featuring their favourite artists at manifesto launches. Artists like Young Stunna, Mr Thela, Mr Vee Sholo, Dlala Thukzin and many others have often performed at these events.

Here are some of the artists whose careers have been at their peak since the political campaigns started.

Lady Du

Kwa-Zulu Natal-based music artist Lady Du is one of the artists who have been part of these manifestos and have been vocal about her party being the EFF.

Zee Nxumalo

These manifesto launches often invite famous artists as well as upcoming artists to give them exposure and recognition. This was the case for Zee Nxumalo who was part of an EFF manifesto launch. Some people had shared that they knew her song Funk 55 which features DBN Gogo but did not know who she was.
