With a victorious quarterfinal game played by Orlando Pirates against AmaZulu in the Nedbank Cup, the Pirates forward scored two goals in the final score, 4-2.

This led to the former Kaizer Chiefs sports star who is now iDiskiTV analyst Junior Khanye showering Patrick with praises during the end game analysis with football news medium iDiski Times.

Taking to X, (an ap formerly known as Twitter) they shared a post:

“He dribbles when it’s necessary to intimidate opponents. At the start of the game you saw him get on top of the ball and you wondered what he was doing, he was intimidating AmaZulu.” ~ Junior Khanye was impressed by Patrick Maswanganyi pic.twitter.com/1dQOVWTQD6

Junior said that the 26-year-old impressed him during the game, “He scored two goals, and whenever Pirates looked dangerous, he was there, and he does not even have speed. He is always dangerous when he gets the ball, he is able to change the game’s direction and his decision making is something else.”

The Buccaneer fans took this opportunity and agreed with Junior, “He’s playing South Africa football, and that’s the right thing to do.”

“No lies detected, there is nothing to hate about Maswanganyi #pure talent.”

Another one wrote, “Khanye is right. Tito doesn’t just dribble. He also finds the back of the net & assists others to score.”

Many other fans agreed that Patrick is the footballer of the season, he also won Man of The Match during the quarterfinals.
