Businessman and Philanthropist Phumlani Njilo is confident that he will put Big Zulu to sleep when the two meet face to face in their highly expected boxing match.

The event which is supported by Boxing South Africa is scheduled to take place on Saturday 9 December at the Durban Olive Convention Centre.

Meanwhile, both Phumlani and Big Zulu have had frequent exchanges via social media in the weeks leading up to the fight.

Big Zulu has achieved great success in his previous fight which took place in April this year when he knocked Brian Dings out in the first round.

Last month, he told entertainment publication Daily Sun that he will be a bit more lenient in the first round before knocking Phumlani down in round 2.

“During the first round, I will be looking at his plans and what he has to do and in the second round I will take action and knock him down. As a person who is moving too much and who is fast, I need to see his game plan first. My fans know that I’m going to win. I’m not the one who easily loses on something I know. I know what I will face during the fight,” he said.

Meanwhile his 30-year-old opponent is confident as well. As a seasonal boxer he has a record of only losing one match in seven fights.

In the meantime, he trains quite frequently and is confident that he will be victorious on the evening saying that he will knock Big Zulu out in the third round.

“I’m training hard, sometimes twice a day. I’m way faster than Big Zulu. I also have way more stamina than him which is [to] my advantage. He won’t last four rounds in the ring. Big Zulu is going down in the third round.”
