Phumeza Mdabe’s son, DJ Influence, proves that nothing is impossible

Media personality, Phumeza Mdabe has recently launched the DJing skills of her visually impaired son, Mpilo Shoba who has been dubbed as DJ Influence.

Despite being blind, DJ Influence has acquired a new skill and has displayed amazing skills capturing mzansi’s hearts from the videos that are shared by his mother on social media platforms.

Phumeza who has turned into DJ Influence’s biggest cheerleader has recently shared a mean music mix played by the talented young DJ.

The doting mother also took to her X (formerly Twitter) to send a hearty shoutout to DJ Black Coffee, and DJ Influence’s father musician, Mnqobi Shota Shoba, captioning her post: “Ngiyabonga (thank you) Shoba, Mjakade, for teaching your last-born son how to DJ and for being a present father always. Ngiyabonga (thank you) uncle Nathi for supporting your nephew in every way possible, since he was a baby. It’s now up to God and his ancestors,” she penned.

Mpilo was diagnosed with cancer at a young age, speaking to News24 then, Phumeza said he was born with abnormally darker eye pupils, her and her husband assumed that they would change overtime. Instead, as months went by they realised that Mpilo could not see properly. After several chemos, Mpilo was officially cleared of cancer.
