Viewers of The Bala Family must be pleased with musician and reality TV star, Phelo Bala’s progress, as they may have seen him act out of character when he consumed alcohol.

Some shared on the social media platforms that they wished Phelo could get help, because they thought he had a drinking problem. At some point, it was revealed in the show that Phelo was meant to start a new job but was later fired, because he showed up drunk on his first day of work.

Recently, Phelo took to his Instagram page to share that he will be embarking on a 30 day body transformation challenge. He explained that it is not just about physical change, but about embracing discipline, pushing limits, and honouring the body that God has blessed him with.

“For me, this journey is a reflection of my commitment to health, wellness, and living with intention. It’s about showing up for myself every day, knowing that growth happens when we step out of our comfort zones,” he penned.

This initiative comes after he celebrated his sobriety from substance abuse, which was prompted by his six month stay at rehab leading to him receiving a Certificate of Completion.

He also shone a light to those who may be on the same journey with him.

“If you’re on a similar path—whether it’s fitness, sobriety, faith, or self-discovery—know that you’re not alone. Let’s walk this road together, one day at a time.”

This revelation impressed many Instagram users.

One user said: “We are in your corner, masambe (let’s go).”

Another one said: “I am glad we celebrated this milestone two weeks ago. And the other one that had me screaming in the car. This is the Lord’s doing and it’s marvellous in our eyes. Phelo, all I’m gonna say is ‘Nanamino nananamino’.”
