Penuel Mlotshwa, aka “Penuel the Black Pen,” has been criticised for auctioning off a pair of old, dirty sneakers for charity.

Penuel tweeted that he would be donning his Adidas Samba shoes for the final time.

“A 4-year love affair ends today,” he posted.

He then added: “Gonna sell them to the highest bidder & use the proceeds to buy shoes for a few underprivileged kids. DM me if you’d like to buy them”.

A Thank You & Farewell to My Adidas Sambas… Today I Wear Them For The Last Time ❤️ A 4-year Love Affair ends today ?

Twitter users were not impressed by the lacklustre efforts made to sell the old, “busted” pair of shoes. Many took to the platform to drag the outspoken podcaster about the laughable auction attempt.

Here’s what a couple Twitter users had to say about the sad pair of shoes:

@KGenius247: “I have R5 for those”

@shinobey_sa: “I am offering you R12.”

@hateyall18: “50 cents for these worn-out shoes”

Nah bro,just give them away without expecting anything in return,even amaphara wouldn’t attempt to steal them ???? pic.twitter.com/OPLgm4ls4C
