If it’s not a low-paying salary, then it’s annoyed colleagues. It seems Penny Ntuli cannot catch a break as it has been reported that her new workmates are not impressed with the preferential treatment the new Jozi FM radio presenter is receiving.

Penny broke the internet last month when she revealed that her former employers at Gagasi FM offered her a salary of R2800, which she declined. Not too long after leaving the Durban-based radio station, Penny shared that she was offered a job opportunity in Johannesburg, which internet users later found out to be Jozi FM.

“Bomzala kukhona ithuba eselivelile ngaleGoli… Ngsayozama futhi kwezokusakaza. Umphathi wami omusha booked a flight ticket athi woza MaNtuli masufikile konke okunye ngzokulungisa (Mates, there is an opening in Johannesburg. I’m giving it a try in the broadcasting industry. My new employer booked a flight ticket and said, ‘Come MaNtuli. When you get here, we will sort everything out).’”

ZiMoja reports that highly placed sources shared that Penny was being treated like a princess and that the radio station’s CEO, Mpho Mhlongo, drops her off at work, “Waits for her to finish her shows and drives her back to her temporary place.”

Mpho confirmed to the above-mentioned publication that Penny was being picked up from her home, however, he shared that it was not him doing the driving.

“She does get picked up by my drivers. Also, she does not know her way around Soweto, so she gets picked up,” said Mpho.

Another source shared, “She is taken to restaurants like Disoufeng and other eateries in the tourist attraction like Vilakazi Street to eat there. Yes, she’s still new in Soweto and the entire Gauteng, but the management is starting something they won’t stand for as time goes on.”
