South African actress and presenter Pearl Thusi made an exciting debut in the music industry as a deejay.

Taking to Instagram, the 35-year-old shared pictures and videos of her first-ever gig which was also her announcement of her new career path. In the series of pictures she posted, Pearl expressed her gratitude and encouraged people to not give up on their dreams. She wrote, “GOD’S TIMING IS PERFECT!!! DELAY IS NOT DENIAL. TRUST THE PROCESS.”

She added, “I was playing Imithandazo to end my set, I had to thank God for carrying me through that hour. I’ve made a dream come true. Whether this makes sense to you or not… worry about yourself and make your dreams come true.

“I pray this convinces you to never give up on what you want to achieve. I was always so worried about what everyone would say about this decision for nearly a decade.”

Concluding her post, she wrote that she worked hard as she practised until she couldn’t stand: “I’m so happy because I overcame the fear of judgement, forgetting that only God has the right to judge me. I’m free.”

“Congratulations mama, goal-getter.”

“You did it, most people go to the grave without having done it. Well done Pearl, so so proud of you.”
