Pearl Thusi reacts to backlash over explicit images

South African actress Pearl Thusi is showing that she lives by her own rules by not shying away from controversy. The actress was a hot topic over the weekend after she shared images of herself where she can be seen wearing a mini skirt, black jacket and sheer top that completely revealed her breasts.

The images immediately went viral and landed the Queen Sono actress in the hot seat.

After the images went viral, social media users slammed her for being an attention-seeker and severely criticised the actress. The presenter quickly added that American artist Janelle Monae was the inspiration for the breast show, telling her “haters” to go, nevertheless.

She captioned the post saying:

Don’t slide if you like reporting people. Unfollow me or block me so we can both mind our business. This look was crafted to impress ONLY @janellemonae for her latest project which I’m obsessed with. I literally floated to the party – ask @thabsie_sa . Just missin’ some lipstick on my neck,” she wrote.

On Sunday, the actress gave SA more candid photos to show social media users that they had no power over her actions. One of the posts was titled ironically by her saying:

“Reporting live from the epicentre of the tremor. Is everyone ok?” she wrote.
