South African actress Pearl Thusi expresses gratitude for being on the Disney Plus series Kizazi Moto: Generations Fire.

The series stars other South African talents including rapper Nasty C and actress Candice Modiselle.

The Queen Sono actress took to her Instagram where she expressed how honoured she was to be part of “Disney animations on the African continent,” she said.

“What a privilege… What an honour… What a blessing…To be part of the first collection of Disney animations on the African continent. Imagine, me, a Disney hun.”

She also thanked all those that came together to make this film.

“Thank you to my fav Lesego @hiddenhandstudios – our director for your hard work and talent putting this together and having me be a part of it. Thank you to the entire @disneyplus & @disneyplusza for your vision and belief in African talent and stories. Thank you. This include all the animators as apparently there are too many of you to mention. “

She added: “My fellow actors – we never got to read together but you could never tell!”

“We sincerely hope you love and enjoy this labour of love. Stories of hope and inspiration untainted with the shadow of colonialism. A free and diverse world of the African imagination,” She concluded.
