Actress and media personality Palesa Madisakwane took to social media to share the struggles she faces as a firstborn child.

Palesa, who shares a daughter with media personality Somizi Mhlongo, uploaded a lengthy video on Instagram, stating that throughout life, things did not come easy for her compared to her younger siblings.

“There’s something that’s troubling me,” said the former Generations actress. “I’m a firstborn child from my mom’s side. I feel like I’m struggling with something.”

Palesa then stated that according to research she had done, as well as the bible, she discovered something called ‘the curse of the first borns.’

Speaking to social media users, Palesa said, “So, I’m here to reach out to someone who can explain it to me. I feel that I, as a first born, compared to my sister, who is a second born, have to fight more to get stuff. I’ve always struggled. Things don’t just come easy for me. If I look at my sister’s life, I think she always had it easier.”

Palesa had even mentioned that she struggled in her romantic life.

“It’s troubling me, not that I’m comparing myself to my younger siblings, but when I got the knowledge about the curse of firstborns, that’s when I realised that I am suffering this curse.”

A born-again Christian, the actress added, “If I didn’t have God on my side, I would be struggling even more … Everything that I have today is because of prayer, the grace of God and the mercy of God.”
