Pretoria-born producer and DJ Oscar Mbongeni Ndlovu, popularly known as Oscar Mbo is making headlines once more as he recently signed a deal with popular clothing brand Steve Madden. The news comes shortly after the producer made his debut into the fashion world by partnering with a local brand called ‘We Are Gods‘.
This deal makes Oscar the first South African male artist to work with the brand, after working with powerhouse Bonang Matheba. His line, named The Oscar Mbo Men’s Collection is a significant achievement as a newcomer in the fashion industry.
In a joint post with Steve Madden, the DJ took to his Instagram to share the exciting collaboration news.
“Introducing Steve Madden Oscar Mbo Men’s Collection. The Collab we all have been waiting for. Steve Madden SA gets to collaborate with a male artist for the first time in HISTORY, and who best to do the magic dance with but the coolest DJ and Producer Oscar Mbo.”

Although Oscar is more popular for his infectious musical genius, he has also made a name for himself as one of the most stylish artists in the country. Therefore, the collaboration with Steve Madden comes as no surprise.
Consisting of trendy, vibrant streetwear-inspired pieces, the collection is set to be available in stores from 8 August 2024, however, those interested in pre-ordering it can do so from 2 August.
