An old tweet by Senzo Meyiwa celebrating his soccer success resurfaced online and left many South African fans and Twitter users feeling sad.

As the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial begins and new details emerge, social media users continue to pray for justice for the killed soccer player. His admirers were heartbroken as an old tweet of his emerged, serving as a heartbreaking reminder that he never got to completely live his goal. Many of them have called for his case to be resolved.

Others have blamed his girlfriend at the time, Kelly Khumalo, who, according to The South African and other sources, met up with one of the suspects in the case before Senzo was killed.

Zandile ‘Zandie’ Khumalo, the sister of popular South African singer Kelly Khumalo, shocked social media followers last week with her outbursts in court. Her “questionable” behaviour has enraged followers of the late Senzo Meyiwa, who openly criticise the fact that his 2014 murder remains unsolved.

An old tweet by the late Orlando Pirates star emerged, further paining fans and admirers.

The post left many fans feeling sad as they saw that his dreams hadn’t been fully realised at the time of his passing.

The post reads, “Sometimes dreams come true. This is the jersey from my hero Iker Casillas. He gave me after the Spain game.”
