Ntsiki Mazwai remembers Anele Tembe following AKA murder case breakthrough

After Minister of Police Bheki Cele and SAPS revealed the arrests of suspects linked to AKA’s murder, the outspoken poet Ntsiki Mazwai made mention of AKA’s late fiancee, seemingly shading the slain rapper in the process.

Last year, AKA and his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane were shot outside Durban’s Wish restaurant. It was recently confirmed by the KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, that six suspects were arrested, and an amount of R800,000 was paid to the suspects for the execution.

While AKA originates from Cape Town and was killed in Durban, his deceased fiancee, Anele ‘Nelli’ Tembe, who hails from Durban, fell to her death from a hotel’s balcony in Cape Town. Although the cause of Nelli’s death was explained as a suicide by AKA, the late rapper still faced scrutiny from the public.

Following Nelli’s tragic passing, leaked videos and images of the couple’s volatile relationship and arguments made their rounds on social media.

Given the above, many suspected that AKA’s death was no coincidence.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Ntsiki shared an image of Nelli and started her post with the quote, “You don’t know what he’s been doing to me.” She then wrote, “Rest in peace baby girl. You fought a good fight. We will always remember you, Anele Tembe. May your family find peace and forgiveness.”

The controversial figure’s post was then followed by, “South Africa loves to d*ckride celebrities, even when they have committed serious crimes. No principles and values that bunch.”

Commenting on Ntsiki’s post dedicated to Nelli, one X user asked the poet why there was blame placed on AKA for Nelli’s alleged suicide.

Ntsiki responded that there were allegedly no fingerprints from Nelli found on the balcony railing from which she fell, adding, “She would have needed superpowers to jump over without touching [it]. He had scratches on his back.”
