After a video of African National Congress (ANC) Member of Parliament Boy Mamabolo kissing another woman went viral, the married politician has come out with an interesting reason to back up his actions.

In the short clip, Boy is seen kissing a woman dressed in an ANC t-shirt. The five-second video abruptly ends after Boy gets up from the couch after his smooch.

The kiss between the two is believed to have taken place at the political party’s 112th year anniversary celebration.

Speaking to local publication The Citizen, Boy stated that he was not cheating on his wife. “She [the woman in the video] is my cadre and there is nothing wrong with kissing my own comrades. I’m not sleeping with them.”

After the video made its rounds on social media earlier this week, Boy shared an image of himself along with his wife and kids on Tuesday, captioning the post, “#ChooseDay.”

Boy told the above-mentioned publication, “Every Tuesday I choose my family, you can go to my Twitter [now known as X] profile. You will see, even on Wednesdays I do Women Crush Wednesdays and I put my wife’s photos or my mother.”

He continued, “The circulating video doesn’t do any harm, it’s not like I was hiding something. If I wanted to hide, I would’ve went to a private space, so there was nothing to hide there or to be ashamed of because there was nothing wrong done.

“If it was a video of me on top a woman and penetrating, we would be talking cheating there. My wife is happy and she doesn’t have a problem with anything.”
