‘Not today satan’ -Julius Malema condemns DA’s John Steenhuisen

EFF’s Chief in Command Julius Malema’s response to a news headline from a local news hub on platform X, an app formerly known as Twitter sparked a lot of debate on the popular platform.

The article from the Daily Maverick was published on the 2nd of April, 2023. It’s headline read, “Steenhuisen declares Julius Malema and the EFF ‘political enemy number one’ after being re-elected.”

Taking time to share the article’s headline on his timeline Julius captioned his post, “You invited us and we accepted. You thought we were going to be typical blacks and egg work around you. Not today SATAN!”

His post comes shortly after president Cyril Ramaphosa announced that South Africa will be under the government of unity administration.

This was a result of the ANC’s inability to see eye-to-eye with other parties during the coalition negotiations.

This wouldn’t be the first time South Africa has been under the government of national unity administration as the 1994 elections saw the ANC, IFP and the NP collectively governing the country.

Taking time to comment on the CIC’s post, internet users did not mince their words:

He was 100% correct in declaring you his “political enemy number one”. He should have declared you the enemy of the state because whatever you do is about you not about the people you claim to be representing. In this case, you should have put your political differences aside and… pic.twitter.com/2JvEPrJ6er

One user sat Julius down with a comment, adding:

sit on the side lines, let the big boys run the country.

A proud EFF supporter stood up for the party, commenting:

They can call us the 9% ers but they know the strength of EFF and what it can do once the signal is out, Our power is more than that percentage, Singa isusa nanini #StopTheDA Our Enemy Number One ❤️?? pic.twitter.com/fC7ElhkGuN

Another raised a few questions

Why is it okay for Steenhuisen to declare the EFF enemy no.1 but wrong for DP Floyd to say DA is an enemy?

Why must whiteness get a free pass for offending blackness but blackness gets flack for retaliation? Racists.
They offend us expecting us to say “yes, baas”. Supremacists.
