Showmax’s Untied episode that will feature the former finance minister, Malusi Gigaba’s ex wife Norma Mngoma will go on and air on July, 15.

Despite Malusi’s attempts to get the interview cancelled by seeking a court interdict to prevent Showmax from airing the episode, Norma will be spilling the beans about her marriage on Untied. The show which will be hosted by multi-award winning TV presenter, Relebogile Mabotja.

IOL reported that Judge Julian Yende dismissed an interdict application by the scandal-ridden Malusi on Wednesday. The former finance minister had sought to prevent MultiChoice and Showmax from airing the tell-all Untied episode featuring his ex-wife, Norma.

According to the above publication, the interview, which delves into the turbulent aspects of their marriage, including allegations of infidelity, pornography addiction, and misuse of public funds, has raised significant public interest and concern.

The show is set to explore the deeply personal and often complex experience of divorce, told through the voices of women who have lived it.

In addition to Norma, Untied features a powerful lineup of South African public figures, each sharing raw, unfiltered perspectives on the emotional toll of divorce.

Reality TV stars Beverly Steyn and Nonku Williams, actresses Dawn Thandeka King, Mona Monyane and Palesa Madisakwane, media personality Zandi Nhlapo and model Sonia Booth all open up about how their lives were turned upside down after separating from the men they once believed would be there forever.

Through raw, honest, and emotionally charged conversations, Untied offers a rare window into the realities of separation, from the pivotal moments that led to the end of their marriages, to the challenges and victories that come with rebuilding life on their own terms.

MultiChoice issued a statement welcoming the ruling.

“We welcome the court’s decision to dismiss the interdict application brought by Mr Malusi Gigaba regarding the airing of the Showmax episode of Untied featuring Ms. Norma Mngoma. We remain committed to responsible storytelling and respect for the legal process. We hereby confirm that the episode in question will stream on Showmax on 15 July 2025 from 6am,” MultiChoice said.
