Footage of a high-speed car crash on Cape Town’s Sea Point’s High-Level Road went viral over the weekend.
The shocking clip highlighted the terrifying velocity at which the car was speeding down a suburban street but also revealed that the vehicle involved was a McLaren supercar, a symbol of luxury and raw power.

X (formerly Twitter) sleuths quickly pieced together the driver’s identity. They discovered that the driver of the McLaren 570S Coupe, who lost control after hitting the pavement, was wearing the same outfit seen in a video he posted earlier that day.
In the video, he was seen enjoying his day in a distinctive two-piece denim Louis Vuitton set and chunky white sneakers, which he wore at the crash scene.

Footage of the accident was harrowing, showing the severe damage to the expensive vehicle.
The driver, 3Gar Baby, was seen sitting dazed and bloodied, with blood dripping from his face. According to Arrive Alive, paramedics discovered two injured individuals at the scene, one being 3Gar Baby and the other a likely passenger.

Unbelievable to be driving like this through a residential suburb. Can only end in tragedy. Fortunately it appears only the driver was mildly hurt. Wonder who he is? #McLaren #SeaPoint Anyone with more information on this situation? pic.twitter.com/6tN5E2NcqY

In a powerful Instagram post, the rapper shared a selfie from the aftermath, expressing his deep gratitude for surviving the crash.
He wrote: “Nah, small things remain. Could’ve been all over! I can’t stop thanking God for life.” He also asked his followers for prayers for his injured passenger, underscoring the gravity of the situation.
According to The South African, 3Gar Baby purchased the McLaren in 2023 to celebrate his rising success in the entertainment industry, marking a milestone in his career. However, the reckless crash put a dramatic twist on his celebration.
