Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi and the SAPS for efficient work on Olerato case

As the horrific murder case of Olorato Mongale takes the country by storm, Kwa-Zulu Natal (KZN) Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi and his SAPS squad have been hailed as heroes for their efficiency in dealing with the perpetrators.

Recently, South Africa came to a standstill when news of the gruesome killing of University of Witwatersrand student Olorato Mongale broke. This came after her killer, who has been identified as Philangenkosi Makhaye, dumped her lifeless body in a community in Lombardy, Johannesburg.

As the story continued to gain traction over various social media platforms, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi and his SAPS team quickly got to work on the ground, and reports have revealed that after he fired first at police, Philangenkosi was shot and killed after he was found hiding out in a residential complex in Amanzimtoti, Durban.

Furthermore, Nhlanhla revealed his dedication in seeing this matter through, as he revealed that the mother of one of the two suspects has been taken in by the police for questioning, as they believe that she tipped her son about the police being on the hunt for his whereabouts.

Citizens from far and wide have come to social media to hail KZN’s police commissioner for his consistency in his fight against one of South Africa’s biggest issues: crime. Nhlanhla and his team have been praised for the way that they treat criminals exaclty what they are, and prioritise the safety of the public.

According to these users, the popular law enforcement official has become one of the only leaders that the puiblic genuinely trusts to fight crime. They reiterate
