Rapper and Family Tree record label owner Refiloe “Cassper Nyovest” Phoolo is currently at the top of X (former Twitter) trending topics after social media users asked one another their choice between R20,000 or a date with the Doc Shebeleza hitmaker.

South Africa’s social media is known for its ability to calm a person when stressed through hilarious comments. It can, however, also be overwhelming if you rely on it too much, or if you’re the trending topic of the day. Celebrities such as Unathi Nkayi have shared they are happy without the social media platform X as it can sometimes be toxic.

South Africans continued the challenge that started with American rapper Jay-Z where celebrities and social media users responded to whether they’d take $100,000 over dinner with the rapper.

Shared by MDN News, the recent post about Cassper read:

“Would you take R20,000 or dinner with Cassper Nyovest?”

The post sparked a lot of hilarious comments from X users who mostly shared they’d take money over dinner with the father of one.

I won’t miss 20k just to hear yee am from Maf Town I sat at the back of the van coming to jozi ??

One user who chose money added that the rapper, who is known for his good marketing skills, would try and sell something while on their date:

Give me just 10K it’s fine bro, I’m not gonna sit for half an hour and be sold Bottles of gin or fill-up tickets ?️ pic.twitter.com/srXtFGmSHO

Others mentioned they’d take just about anything instead of going on a date with the 018 rapper:

I’d take anything to avoid the dinner

I would take even R30

One user, who is able to generate R20K, chose the rapper, commenting:

I Have Ways To Make R20k, I’ll Have Dinner With Cass
