The Christmas season is a season of love, giving, feasting and having endless laughs with those you love. What better way to bond with your favourite people over a Christmas themed Netflix local series.

Each year at around this time of the year, Netflix entertains us with a Christmas local series. Last season we saw them serve their viewers the Ramaphakela siblings production titled How To Ruin Christmas. The South African Film and Television award winning dramedy concluded its seasons and has paved way for Yoh Christmas.

Making its debut on Netflix this December is the production of film director and two times SAFTA award winner Zolani Phakade. This international Emmy award nominee candidate is an individual who has done a stellar job in the craft of television production as he has worked as a series director on local telenovela shows such as The River and The Dock.

According to Netflix, the series revolves around a 30- year-old single Thando, who is under pressure of bringing a partner home for Christmas. Thando’s lies catch up with her as she then has 24 days before Christmas to mingle and find a partner to bring home for a formal introduction on Christmas Day.

Portraying the character of Thando is Katlego Lebogang.

The actress is a rising star who has appeared on shows such as White Lies, Spinners, Wounds, and many more others.
