Nadia Nakai accused of stealing a wig in Namibia

by Sergio Miller

Rapper Nadia Nakai has been accused of theft.

This comes after a Namibian businesswoman and owner of Fashion wins Hair accused the “Imma Boss” hitmaker of stealing her wig and travelling back to South Africa to parade in it.

In a screenshot obtained by SA Hip Hop Magazine, the accused said that she was contacted by one of Nadia’s representatives in September this year, to find out whether she has a wig Nadia could borrow for one of her performances in Namibia.

She further explained that Nadia had brought a couple of wigs along with her, but that they were all in bad condition.

“I woke up and took a few wigs over and gave them a price,” explains the businesswoman.

“Nadia chose a 26-inch 3-bundle curly frontal and told them the wig is R6500 so they should either buy it for that amount or could use it and leave it at the reception the next morning. NB with witnesses because there were more than 4 Namibians in the room who all heard the conditions. Me saying they could use it and leave it was literally me trying to help them. I didn’t require anything from them.”

Meanwhile, she added that Nadia failed to do this. Instead by the next morning she already found herself in South Africa along with the valuable hair piece.

“To my surprise, I saw Nadia snapping wearing my wig in South Africa the next day and no payment or communication were made.

She added that it was not until making several requests to regain the wig that Nadia agrees to return it.

“The wig arrived in Namibia […] and it was the wrong wig. It was short. Machine made and had very little hair. Nadia stop stealing from black-owned businesses” she ended on an Instagram story.

Meanwhile, one X (formerly Twitter) user took to the platform to get to the of problem, asking what the real story was.

However, Nadia denied the accusations. In her response she said:

“Baaaaaabes! That lady is such a lair, and I didn’t pay Sh*t. She must tell the truth! Psycho! She BEEEN having her wack wig! Cloutmonger!”
