Lesedi FM radio personality Ba2Cada revealed that he earns R180k per month from the South African Broadcasting Channel (SABC).

Ba2Cada, whose real name is Nyakallo Leine, recently went on Podcast and Chill with MacG where he spoke about his salary from the beginning of his career to now.

He said, “It was for me to prove myself so that Lesedi FM could hear me. It’s 20 years later, I started with R1 500, and now I am on R180 000.”

This revelation sparked a debate online as some users reflected on the recent case of radio personality Penny Ntuli who was earning R2,5k from Gagasi FM. Although disclosing salaries is meant to educate people that hard work pays off some people felt that it should be more private.

Online publication MDN News posted the episode of the podcast on X (previously known as Twitter) which caused users to troll Sizwe Dhlomo after he claimed to not know Ba2Cada.
