A video that was widely shared on social media platforms had many expressing different views about marriage dynamics.
The clip features actor and TV presenter Nimrod Nkosi in a conversation with podcaster David Mashabela, where he’s asked about his marriage to Charlene Tjoe.
Nimrod took a long pause before he could utter the word “hard”. In his response, he suggested that he was drained from the marriage woes. He candidly responded: “I need the wind behind that sail. My sails are down. It’s hard. Yeah, but no one can do it alone. I’m not gonna lie because God knows,” he said.
The Generations: The Legacy actor shared that he wasn’t hopeful that things between him and his wife would eventually work out. He also expressed that he is grateful that it was David who asked this question.
“No. I thank God that you’re the man who asked. It’s the first time anyone has asked me that. And I thank God that it’s a man of your calibre. I would not have let anyone ask me that,” he said.
X (formerly Twitter) users weighed in, with some noting the pain in Nimrod’s eyes as he spoke about his marriage.

Do not be so consumed in your idea of marriage that you forget to consider the person you will be married to coz marriage is far too heavy for us to jump in without the necessary due diligence. Before you commit to marriage make sure that the person you are committing to will be…
