Mzansi moved as dad takes his first flight to daughter’s graduation

With graduation season in full swing at South African universities inspirational and heartwarming stories are shared recently, a 65-year-old father captured many hearts as he flew for the first time from Durban to the North West to attend his daughters’ graduation ceremony.

If the videos shared by his daughter, who goes by the username @mbalimahlelabezui on TikTok, are anything to go by, it is visible that the father was delighted by this experience, and he enjoyed his trip to the North West.

Mbali shared multiple videos of their journey, accompanied by her husband and her parents. On her TikTok page, she started off by sharing a clip of her and her family at the airport, and later boarding the plane. Inside, the find their seats and Mbali can be seen holding his dad’s hand to calm him down. His father is later seen beaming with pride and joy, and oozing excitement as they arrive at North West.

This led to TikTok users sharing heartwarming messages about this experience.

One user said: “I can’t wait to fly my parents to Stellenbosch in December for my graduation. Congrats Mbali.”

Another one said: “Congratulations Mrs B wam sending from Port Elizabeth.”

While another one said, “His smile is priceless congratulations daddy.”

Seemingly, Mbali is also radiating with pride and happiness to realise that she made this possible for her father, she took to her TikTok page to share a clip of her father inside a plane, and captioned her post: “Now daddy can tick that he has flown before to his daughters graduation.”
