Beauty pageant queens Shudufhadzo “Shudu” Musida and Ndavi Nokeri were rumoured to have high demands on the set of Mzansi Magic’s Queen Modjadji which recently premiered.

The duo made their debut appearances on the Khelobedu dialect drama series, with Shudu portraying Muthoni Mulalo, one of the king’s wives from the Vhavhenda royal family; while Ndavi who was crowned Miss South Africa in 2022 played the role of Muthoni Khensani, another one of the king’s wives from the Vatsonga royal family.

“Shudufhadzo Musida and Ndavi Nokeri were pleasant on set and bonded very well with the cast and crew of Queen Modjadji,” Mzansi Magic told Sunday World.

The channel also said, the beauty queens did not attend the premiere of the drama series on Thursday last week, because they had other commitments and there was no indication that they would be present.

Earlier, a source revealed to ZiMoja that Shudu and Ndavi were expecting beauty pageant treatment on set and allegedly wanted attention to be solely on them.

“They clearly did not get the memo that they were working on a professional set with directors and producers, who call the shots. They did not understand the acting set-up,” revealed the source.

The source had added that the producers intended to keep the models longer on the series, however, their high demands made the producers of the show cut their stay and give them cameo roles. The source also alleged that the beauty queens wanted their own dressing room among the demands.

Meanwhile, internet users reacted to the much-anticipated premiere of Queen Modjadji. The viewers of the show took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their views on the portrayal of the rain queen story.

One user said:
