A video of multi-award-winning amapiano music producer Kabelo Motha Mahlangu famously known as Kabza De Small eating pap and meat with a group of friends made its way to the internet amusing many users after he recited a controversial statement made by his close friend and business partner DJ Maphorisa.

Kabza who is basking in success after his successful sold-out Redbull Symphonic Orchestra performance with Ofentse Pitse is seen in the video, enjoying a good meal with friends before he says:

“Guys right now we are about to go work in the studio, this is my food, this is my electricity, my house, the songs masters are mine. All of them, there’s no song that will be leaving here.”

This is a statement previously made by DJ Maphorisa on his Instagram Live a few months ago when he schooled his followers and aspiring musicians on what his demands are when working with an artist in his own studio.

An annoyed Maphorisa shared, “When you record music on my computer, my studio, with my electricity. That sh*t is mine. It belongs to me. You must understand when you work in someone’s studio, that sh*t is not yours. Go buy your studio, buy plug-ins, FruityLoops (a digital audio software now known as FL Studio), a microphone and whatever, then make music and release it. Then those will be your masters.”

Kabza’s retirement of the statement did not sit well with many people including music artists, was shared on X (former Twitter) by DJ Maphorisa  receiving a lot of comments from internet users who commented:

Lol the way they were laughing, in their mind they’re like “this guy could be serious”

This is why I think Kelvin Momo is a smart guy understood this way of working from day one after dropping Private school under Piano hub went straight to start Kelvin Momo productions to keep all his work.

One user felt that the video was dissing Maphorisa commenting:

He is actually trolling you ??
