Musa Khawula says his arrest was ‘orchestrated’, promises to spill the tea

by Staff Bona

According to Sunday World, controversial blogger Musa Khawula is reportedly out of jail. This follows a 60-day prison sentence.

Khawula was arrested and taken into custody during a July court appearance at Vredenburg magistrate’s court.

The case pertained to a civil lawsuit filed by Nozuko Mbalula, the wife of ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula, and her business associate Michelle Perrow.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Musa gave a breakdown of what expired while he was in jail. He claimed his arrest was orchestrated from May 30.

not my arrest being orcharsrated from the 30th may 2024. here’s what happened:

– i had the free attorney right?! and for reasons still unbeknownst to me stating ‘conflict of interest’ they withdrew from my case and we won’t talk about that for now since it’s unrelated.

Sharing a screengrab of a WhatsApp message and his prison docket, he said he was given free legal representation, but his lawyer withdrew from the case stating a “conflict of interest.”

“Immediately after withdrawing, I was informed that ‘the state’ has expressed interest in having me incarcerated until my matter goes on trial and I was warned to be careful (see attached WhatsApp screenshot),” he wrote.

He also explained that he was sent to jail without explanation after his second court appearance. “If this had been ‘survivor’ this would’ve been the biggest blindside of the season,” he said.

In true Musa Khawula style, the blogger threw shade at his arch-nemesis Mihlali Ndamase and revealed he was supposedly in the same prison as Jade Harris Owen.

“Gaps will be filled in at x spaces and I’m gonna need all of llb Twitter to gather on the next x space as we have a social media case to discuss and a lawsuit to file,” he concluded.

The outspoken blogger is currently on trial for the murder of his ex-boyfriend Wandile Khambule who he is accused of stabbing to death in March 2022.
