Amapiano musical group, Marumba Pitch which includes Emmanuel Nanga Mathye and Thabang Innocent ‘Maeywon’ Mongolo has split up after producing chart toppers.

The group was first established in 2021 by music producer, Chifo Charge, and later handed the reins to the present duo, Emmanuel and Thabang. The Limpopo duo is known for songs that kept mzansi entertained such as Wena Dali, Hamba Juba and Uyeke among others.

In a shocking turn of events, Marumba Pitch shared their statement on Facebook to announce the termination of partnership. In the statement shared on their Facebook page, they revealed that they held a meeting recently where Emmanuel and Thabang reached a mutual decision to terminate their partnership and contractual relationship immediately.

They also shared that this decision will mark a new chapter and both parties who respectively committed to moving forward independently, and will focus on their new opportunities and future endeavours.

“Both parties have agreed that a formal media statement would be released to inform the public of this development. Additionally, the parties will be working together to ensure a fair and amicable settlement of the division of business interests in the Marumba Pitch Brand,” read the statement.

The duo further expressed their gratitude to their supporters for their understanding.

Speaking to Daily Sun then, the duo said: “There are problems you can’t control, but at the end of the day, we are people, and there will always be problems. There are times when we feel like things aren’t going well, and sometimes we go for weeks without getting booked. During that time, we came together and developed solutions rather than blaming each other.”
