The police have recently opened a murder investigation following an intruder that was shot and killed in Umzumbe allegedly by reality TV star, Mpumelelo ‘Sbindi’ Mseleku.

According to online reports, the armed intruder forcefully entered their home in Mzumbe, South Coast, while one of the staff members was performing their duties, demanding to see one of Musa’s sons. Panicked, the staff member triggered the alarm, leading to a confrontation between Sbindi and the intruder. It is alleged that the unknown man was shot four times.

Daily Sun reported recently that KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed that the case of attempted house robbery has been closed and a murder case registered.

“Southport police opened a case of attempted house robbery and an inquest which later closed, and a case of murder was registered for investigations, he said.

The Mseleku’s are known for their successful reality shows Uthando Nes’thembu and Izingane Zes’thembu that have kept mzansi glued on their screens with some wishing to relocate to Mzumbe and see drama as it comes, as they share their daily lives and the dynamics of polygamy.

Mpumelelo is a father of three children from two women, Tirelo Kale and Vuyokazi Nciweni, with whom he had an informal polygamous relationship. He is seemingly following in his father’s footsteps as he has been vocal that he would like to have a polygamous marriage one day.

He is the eldest son of the famous polygamist Musa Mseleku, who currently has five wives and is a TV presenter of Mnakwethu, where he assists men to propose polygamy to their marriages.
