Like in every country, South Africa has a handful of artists that although talented, are often misunderstood because they express themselves much differently than the rest of the population. Moonchild Sanelly, born Sanelisiwe Twisha is one of these artists, who has worked hard and accomplished so much, despite the hurdles placed in front of her.
Popular for her exuberant and vibrant personality and style that is mostly paired with her infamous blue yarn wig, Moonchild also found a niche genre of music that resonates with her style and flow called ‘future ghetto funk’. In 2021, she announced that her song ‘Demon’ would be featured in the popular video game franchise FIFA 2022.
Recently, she announced that she has bagged a second and third deal with the video game franchise as her songs ‘Gwara Gwara’ and ‘Big Man’ are set to feature in FIFA’s latest release.
“Not one, but two songs on the EA Sports #FC25 Soundtrack 💙 Listen to ‘Gwara Gwara’ and ‘Big Man’ with Self Esteem on the @spotify playlist now!” she captioned the post.

Moonchild has become the embodiment of the phrase ‘own race, own pace’, as the artist has displayed tunnel vision as far as her career is concerned. Although she is not in the spotlight as much as she was in her career’s inception, she has thrived in the spaces that she has immersed herself in, creating a name for herself in the international community as well.
Before scoring this deal, Moonchild has been busy, appearing on the popular YouTube Colors Show, working on campaigns and collaborations as well as attending and performing on international stages.
