Actress Mona Monyane speaks out about the multiple attempts she has made to divorce her ex-husband Khulu Skenjana.
According to SowetanLIVE, the former couple had been married for four years after announcing that they were going their separate ways.
Confirming this news on social media, she wrote, “My husband and I have parted ways. I know this will come as a shock to many and I ask that you continue to believe in love and family. The battles we have met have been difficult to overcome together and I ask that you respect us by not sensationalising our separation.”
Despite their separation announcement, internet users were shocked to find that Mona is still legally married to her ex-husband as he has been refusing to sign the divorce papers.
Taking to Instagram, she added that despite filing for divorce three times in 2020, 2022, and this year, her ex-husband has not signed the papers even though they no longer stay together.
She further explained that even though media hubs had reported that she was divorced, it was quite the opposite of that.
“These are my confessions. I know the power of wellness because I live to experience a force that is intent on destroying me and yet, look what God has done for me. While having to fight the father of my kids to release me,” she captions the post.
“Yes chomi (friend), I choose happiness, light, love and peace. Even when this darkness challenges my reality. I choose life. Not death.”
