Metro FM award-winning singer Naledi Aphiwe’s emotional TikTok post has sparked speculation about her rumoured relationship with Mawelele.

In the post, she shared a photo montage of herself in tears, accompanied by a cryptic caption that seemed to hint at a painful experience with a cheating partner.

The caption, which read, “Even if you can build a man a house in the clouds, he will still get a parachute to come down and cheat on you,” resonated with fans who instantly assumed she was referring to her rumoured boyfriend, Mawelele.

Although the two artists never publicly confirmed their relationship, their affectionate photos together were enough to fuel speculation among fans.

The drama unfolded when a fan commented on Naledi’s post, mentioning that Mawelele had spoken negatively about her on his Instagram live. The fan expressed sympathy for Naledi, saying, “Did you watch Mawelele’s live? Yoh! Judging from what he was saying, I don’t think he truly loved you. Askies, you will be ok.”

Naledi responded to the fan’s comment, seemingly confirming that Mawelele’s intentions were not genuine.

In her response, Naledi Aphiwe stated, “Lol, yeah, he never loved me. Maybe there was something that he was looking to gain, and he got it. Good for him.”

This statement suggests that Naledi believes Mawelele was using her for personal gain, possibly fame or publicity, given their high-profile collaboration on the song Romeo and Juliet.

The exchange between Naledi and the fan has sparked a lot of discussion among fans, with many expressing support for the singer and condemning Mawelele’s alleged behaviour. As the drama continues to unfold, fans are left wondering what really went down between the two artists and what the future holds for Naledi’s music career.
