Miss SA breaks its silence on Top10 finalist’s bullying allegations

The Miss South Africa organisation has finally broken its silence surrounding the backlash concerning one of its top 10 finalists.

Earlier this week, Miss SA officially announced the top 10 that would compete to be crowned at the grand finale. However, for the second consecutive year, this did not come without a bit of controversy.

This comes as one of the contestants, Bridgett Jones from Athlone, was recently accused of workplace bullying by a former colleague Kayla Jenecker. Kayla took to TikTok releasing a three-part video questioning the organisation’s decision to include Bridget as a finalist while not doing proper background checks.

“Bridgett Jones is part of the group that started to bully me. They excluded me from chats, gossiping about me, making fun of my heels, my makeup, isolating me during lunches… it was chaos,” she said.

Following growing tensions surrounding the matter, Miss SA has since released a statement addressing the controversial matter.

“The Miss South Africa Organisation is aware of a social media post making an allegation of bullying against an individual who is part of the 2025 competition,” they said in a statement.

“All our participants in the programme are expected to uphold the Miss South Africa code of conduct, which outlines our commitment to respect, integrity and accountability throughout the competition. Miss South Africa does not condone any behaviour that is not aligned to these values.”

They explained that while they continue to take these concerns seriously, they will continue to be guided by their established protocols and formal processes to deal with these complaints.
