Minnie Dlamini leaves tweeps confused about why her marriage ended

by Ncumisa Lerato Kunana

Who can forget the spectacular, Becoming Mrs Jones wedding series that had us all wishing we were invited to the wedding celebration of the year. Minnie Dlamini tied the knot to Quinton Jones in an extravagant wedding celebration in Cape Town on July 7th 2017.

In early 2022, Minnie shared a statement stating that she and her husband were getting a divorce and caught many by surprise, while others had already spotted her not wearing her wedding ring more frequently.

The Honeymoon actress was recently on radio 702 on a show called The Upside on Failure with Relebogile Mabotja.

During the interview, Relebogile asked Minnie what was the real reason behind her divorce and she had this to say:

“I never imagined getting divorced. I always thought I would raise my kids the same way I was raised … I just felt like for me, timing was off, I felt like I didn’t know myself. Furthermore, I went on to further lose myself in my marriage,” she told the host.

“I think the failure part is, on my part, from not being able to pick up what was right for me at a time before I went all the way … You know, in relationships you always know, when you look back, you’re like: ‘that was a red flag, and that was a red flag … you’re a red flag!’ I’m not pushing the blame in any way, shape or form but you’re either a red flag and you’re not acknowledging it or they have red flags and you’re not acknowledging it,” she added.

Tweeps were left confused as they felt that she danced around the question and did not tackle it head on.

She should have mized it and kept it moving,

I mean the husband was also part of the wedding season special but he’s not going around taking interviews.

Minnie is clearly still confused and gathering herself after a big life event. His fault/ Her fault doesn’t matter at this point. I wish people would just leave her alone. https://t.co/YYoOETLW0h
