Mid-flight nightmare as couple sits beside deceased passenger

An Australian couple, Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Colin, were forced to sit beside a deceased passenger for hours on a Qatar Airways flight from Melbourne to Venice.

The woman collapsed in the aisle after using the restroom and could not be revived despite cabin crew efforts.

Due to her size, she could not be moved to business class, so the crew placed her beside Mitchell and covered her with blankets for the remainder of the flight.

‘Unfortunately, the lady couldn’t be saved, which was pretty heartbreaking to watch,’ Mitchell said, according to Daily Mail.

‘They went to try and move her, they brought this chair down… and they put her in the chair and tried to wheel her up towards business class.

‘But she was quite a large lady, and they couldn’t get her through the aisle.’

Jennifer, a nervous flyer, was deeply shaken by the experience. Another passenger eventually offered her a seat elsewhere, as the airline did not offer to relocate them.

Upon landing in Doha, they had to remain seated while police and medical staff examined the body, adding to their distress.

‘I can’t believe they told us to stay… it wasn’t nice,’ Mitchell said.

The couple expressed disappointment that neither Qatar Airways nor Qantas reached out to offer support.

Qatar Airways has since said it is investigating the incident.
