Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) professional footballer Achraf Hakimi continues to be the subject of hot topic across the globe as the footballer recently made waves in the news due to his divorce proceedings.

The news surfaced after his estranged wife, a Spanish actress Achraf Hakimi, had reportedly filed for divorce.

The wife of the footballer went to a French court seeking a divorce and half of his wealth following his involvement in an alleged rape, but walked away empty-handed.

To the 36-year-old Spanish wife Hiba Abouk’s surprise, the Moroccan defender had no properties or money in the bank, or so she was told by the court, as Achraf  had registered his fortune in his mother’s name.

According to media reports, the wife lodged her divorce claim and demanded half of the World Cup star’s fortune before she discovered the bitter truth that Hakimi’s mother had it all.

The Moroccan football player, has a net worth of around $24 million, with approximately 80% of his PSG wage going directly into his mother’s bank account.

Despite the serious allegations against him, Achraf has maintained his innocence and believes the woman is trying to extort him.

The couple married in 2020 and have two children, Amin and Naim, but unfortunately, and it has been reported that Hiba did not support her husband during the rape investigation.

Many men across the world praised the footballer saying he is their “hero” and the first man to defeat a “slay queen.
