Musa Mseleku’s second wife, Khanya Yeni, has quickly stood out as a fan favourite in the eighth season of the hit reality show Uthando Nesthembu. After laying low the past few seasons, she appears to be embracing the villainous role that many users had accused her of.

The Mseleku family has proven to be reality TV gold in mzansi as they provide a unique perspective into the dynamics of the cultural practice of polygamy, as it has been a controversial matter in society. Since the first season, each of Musa’s four wives has been placed under a microscope as viewers determine who is worthy of their favour and who they are sceptical of, or not too fond of.

After the last offering, wife number two, who affectionately goes by MaYeni, has been on the lips of many viewers as she looks to take over her sister wife MaKhumalo’s role as a new fan favourite for her sudden change of personality and embrace a more savage role in this complicated family dynamic.

After indulging in the recent episode, internet users have not stopped raving about the new and improved MaYeni that did not come to play this season. According to these users, the usual MaYeni who is known for her reserved nature and ability to keep her controversial opinion to herself is a thing of the past as the new MaYeni appears to be ready for any and all the smoke for anyone who dares to come for her.

MaYeni carried this episode. Just jokes, confrontation, honesty and beauty. Such an essential part of this show and marriage. #Uthandonesthembu pic.twitter.com/b1zk7P20aZ

Viewers cannot help but notice that since she put down her beloved Candy Crush game, MaYeni has opted to divert her attention and become more present and involved in the family dynamic. This latest episode was largely characterised by MaYeni’s antics, and filled with multiple memorable moments filled with drama and suspense, resulting in her taking the crown as the much-loved villain of the season.
