Amapiano sensations Kabza De Small and MaWhoo have found themselves having to explain the nature of their relationship following rumours sparked by trending videos of the duo, where according to internet users, the duo appeared smitten with each other.

During an Instagram live session, the ‘Amazwe’ vocalist dispelled the rumours and set the record straight, expressing that the relationship between Kabza and herself is purely platonic. Further explaining, MaWhoo made it known that the reason for her unconventional poses around Kabza is a testament to Kabza’s character, as he makes others feel extremely comfortable around him.

“I don’t know why you guys keep insisting that I like him romantically, because if I did, I wouldn’t be posting him. So, guys, you know why I usually pose like that? It’s because I’m feeling more comfortable around him because he doesn’t make passes at me or anything… he is like a brother to me,” MaWhoo explained.

Although a small number of users are still not convinced following MaWhoo’s explanation, it appears she and Kabza can momentarily let out a sigh of relief as the rumours have been successfully dispelled. Internet users considered the explanation a genuine one, thus poking fun at Kabza, stating that he will never be able to leave the friend zone now.

Most users are looking forward to more collaborations between the two artists, as their musical compatibility has proven to be off the charts as they have brought us hits such as ‘Amazwe’ and ‘Kabza Chant’ which have done wonders on the local charts and made waves internationally as well.
