South African maskandi star Mthandeni ‘Igcokama Elisha’ Manqele has taken to TikTok to publicly apologised to Msoco Khumalo, the fiancé of his baby mama, Vezile Buthelezi. The apology comes after Msoco discovered explicit photos of Vezile that were allegedly sent to Mthandeni.

In his TikTok video, Mthandeni urged Msoco not to end his relationship with Vezile over this incident. He emphasised that his relationship with Vezile is strictly co-parental.

“What happened is terrible. Mistakes happen; everyone makes mistakes, Khumalo must forgive Vezile. I want to see them happy together. Mistakes happen; he must understand that. Vezile and I are no longer together. We only communicate because we have a child, and my role is to entertain people with music. I don’t want to be known as a home wrecker,” Mthandeni said.

Daily Sun reports that it remains unclear whether Mthandeni asked for the photos or if Vezile sent them voluntarily. Msoco has confirmed to Daily Sun finding the explicit photos but chose to limit his comments. “I’m angry, but I’ve reported the matter to the elders. So, I won’t discuss it much in the media. It’s now in the hands of the elders, who will handle it their way,” Msoco told the publication.

However, the publication states that Vezile declined to comment further, saying only, “I have nothing to say,” before ending the call.

In addition to the explicit photos, Mthandeni was involved in an incident at the “Mother of all Maskandi Festivals” in Durban. Viral footage from the event shows Mthandeni performing and Zimiphi Biyela (Zimdollar), guarded by security snatched the microphone from Mthandeni and told him to “voetsek.” Zimdollar claimed that Mthandeni was supposed to perform at 7 pm but took the stage at 9:30 pm despite being informed by organisers that his performance slot had ended.
