Rapper, singer-songwriter and producer, Marcus Harvey recently announced that he will be performing his new album, Now You Know Me, with the acronym NYKM, on the 5th of September for the first time.
The must-listen 10-track album is one of 3 dropped by the artist, one in 2020, “I am Marcus Harvey”, the other in 2021, “You Still Don’t Know Me” and finally “Now You Know Me”, this year 2024, which promises the audience a reflection of himself, a detailed and well-articulated piece that will be performed on stage.
The sequencing of the albums is definitely a reason to take a moment and appreciate his art and to those who are unfamiliar with how the Sepedi language sounds in music, specifically, the rap industry, Marcus takes you through his songs in his home language over some soulful beats.
The Alexandra-born artist posted on his Instagram with the caption: “Excited to announce that I’ll be performing my new album NYKM for the first time, accompanied by my band and @lordkez, during an intimate show at @themarabiclub on 5th September.”

One X (Formerly Twitter) user asked:
Kante Marcus Harvey be rapping in Sepedi straight? I need to get into that

Another user could not fathom that the music of the rapper is not talked about enough.
Is Marcus Harvey gate kept or slept on ? Because how his music is not talked about doesn’t make sense
