TV personality Maps Maponyane is a closed book when it comes to his relationships. He loves keeping his fans guessing which is why many were or still trying to figure out whether he’s dating former Miss SA Shudufhadzo Musida.

The two have been notoriously private about their friendship with neither denying or confirming if their relationship is romantic.

Following a report from Times Live last week, the actor took to social media to share the article and respond: “Imagine finding out you’re getting married on Twitter?”

The article stated that Maps and Shudu had been dating since 2022 and were in Seychelles enjoying a romantic holiday together.

Sources told the publication a delegation had been sent to Shudu’s village in Limpopo to ask for her hand in marriage.

When TshisaLIVE approached Maps for comment, he told the online publication, “You put me on the spot, you know I don’t like talking about my private life in the media.”

Fans were floored by the fact that he didn’t confirm or deny the reports of a wedding in the works and were quick to congratulate the couple, even if it was a “rumour.”

“Lol. Where did they get the story? Who’s their sauce?” asked an X (former Twitter) user.

Another called Maps out on his evasive answer and said, “Lies, you know about this. The journalist asked you about it and you opted not to give him a straight answer, instead, you just laughed. Ukuthula kusho ukuvuma ke in some cultures.

“If you’re denying it, send your location to prove him wrong.’
