Manaka Ranaka thanks Dineo Ranaka for ‘fighting’ for her life

by Johana Mukandila

After media personality Dineo Ranaka announced that she was struggling with mental health issues and considering suicide, South African social media users became extremely alarmed. Reports then surfaced that the Kaya 959 presenter had been checked into a mental health facility but later “discharged herself” after allegedly getting into a verbal argument with a medical staff member.

Although the reality TV star left the facility, Dineo seems to be doing fine. This came after Manaka, her sister, thanked her online for “fighting.”

Taking to her Instagram timeline the former Generations: The Legacy actress penned a sweet note to her sister saying:

“#WCW has to be my baby sis #Mungas #Ncane #AusiOmotuna #Papaino #MogulInTheMaking @dineoranaka. THANK YOU FOR FIGHTING!!! Tsela Sweu…”

The actress has been consistent in giving updates concerning her sister ever since she made a public declaration regarding her struggle with mental health and contemplating suicide.

“I completely understand souls/spirits/people who commit suicide. I get it. I get them because I’m trying my best not to. My mind is so loud of late and life is f**king hard. So hard. I’m trying my best, but it seems my best is not enough. My children. My God,” wrote Dineo.

However, her sister gave an update to the public as they were concerned about the DJ.

“She appreciated all the messages she has received from everyone. She hasn’t been able to respond to everyone, but she is fighting. She will be okay. Dineo is a fighter, everybody knows that,” Manaka said about her sister.
