Multi-award-winning actress Manaka Ranaka recently penned a heartfelt message to her late daughter, Katlego Ranaka, wishing her a heavenly 25th birthday.

Katlego passed away in January this year from natural causes, according to her aunt Nompumelelo Ranaka, leaving behind her four-year-old son who recently turned five. Manaka, who is popular for her roles in Stokvel, Isidingo and Generations: The Legacy among others, recently shared a candid post on what would have been Katlego’s birthday.

Manaka took to her Instagram page to share video clips filled with memories displaying Katlego’s personality.

“Happy Birthday my beautiful Angel. Today you would’ve turned 25. Our first 1st of November without you. I write this with a huge lump in my throat and tears soaking my pillow knowing we will never see you again in the physical, that fact alone aches my heart. My chest tightens and my womb hurts just thinking about it,” she penned.

The Generations: The Legacy actress also shared that they unveiled Katlego’s tombstone on her birthday.

“I haven’t slept since yesterday, anticipating this day. The day I gave birth to you. Today 25 years ago is a day I will never forget. And you my dear 1st born child, I will never forget you. Today is bitter sweet as we unveil your stone and celebrate your birthday. A life worth celebrating. Asiphelenga,” shared Manaka.
