Manaka Ranaka remembers Katlego with a tribute

South African actress Manaka Ranaka recently remembered her beloved eldest daughter, Katlego Ranaka, who passed away due to natural causes on the 23rd of January.

Katlego passed away at the tender age of 24, leaving behind her four-year-old son, her parents and the Ranakas’ grief stricken.

Recently, Manaka, who is renowned for roles she played on Stokvel, Lockdown and currently as Lucy Diale on Generations: The Legacy, took to her Instagram page to share a clip of Katlego showcasing her singing talent.

Cherishing the memories she made with Katlego, Manaka said the grief is slowly getting better, but they miss Katlego terribly, and she does not think they will stop missing her as she left big shoes to fill.

Instagram users took to the comment section to share words of encouragement to Manaka.

Instagram user said: “May Almighty God give you strength, Mami.”

Another one said: “The wound is deep. It will take time to heal, the scar will be a constant reminder, may God give you strength, Mama.”

While another one said: “What an angelic voice, no parent should ever bury a child. May she continue to rest with the angels, sending you hugs.”

During her memorial service, Katlego was remembered as a very respectful and humble person at San Salvador Catholic Church in Leondale at Ekurhuleni, by family, lecturers and her classmates.

It was also revealed during a memorial service by Mr Baloyi that KG was meant to finish her Diploma in Animal Production at Ekurhuleni Agricultural College on the 31st of January.
