Mama Joy vows to not let jealous people stand in her way

After Minister of Sport Arts and Culture Gayton McKenzie announced that trips and benefits for sports super fans were canned, many mzansi taxpayers were relieved to see that he had plans to invest in departmental duties other than funding individuals to travel the world.

Mama Joy has been a beneficiary of the “super-fan” benefits which saw her travel in luxury to international destinations including the 2023 Rugby World Cup. The former Orlando Pirates No.1 fan also stayed in a 5-star hotel while in Paris for the Rugby World Cup 2023, leaving many South Africans, who felt that her trip was a waste of taxpayer’s money, ticked off.

Taking time to share her thanks to God and ancestors, Mama Joy advised people not to let jealous people stand in their way.

“Thanks to my God and my ancestors and to all people who support sport out there let not poverty and jealousy to stand in your way to support what you like. Thanks for loving Mama Joy, loko ku ri hi ku ku bula hi Mina Swi endla mi tlela mi dyini qhubekani.”

Many internet users were quick to respond to the post, commenting:

People are not jealous, my word. You drive a lux car paid by the department and travel the world while actual athletes have to stay home.

This is arrogance.

One user supported Mama Joy commenting:

I’m happy for you Mama Joy, the attack on you is so unnecessary.

If you were white, no one would be against super fans being sponsored

I don’t think this matter is a personal attack on you or anyone. You are just the face of “super fans” … when that benefited you, you didn’t complain. Now the narrative is twisted and you wanna be a victim no Mama you are not a victim.
