Malome Vector is taking legal action against Ambitiouz Entertainment

by Staff Bona

Malome Vector is taking his former record label Ambitiouz Entertainment to court regarding the release of the song “Ya Costa.”

According to ZiMoja, Malome parted ways with Ambitiouz Entertainment last year after Blaq Diamond and Intaba Yase Dubai’s departure.

Malome’s version of the song features 25K and Lizwi Wokuqala while the record label’s version features Dee The General and Lizwi Wokuqala.

The publication also reports that the disagreement between the pair started on Friday when Malome released the song. Ambitiouz released the same song, claiming it as their own on Thursday evening.

“Original Ya Costa just dropped????,” said Malome.

A source told Zimoja, “The problem with Ambitiouz owner [Kgosi Mahumapelo] is that he is trying by all means not to see every artist that has been on the stable move forward.”

“Malome left because he felt neglected and not recognised by the company as they kept fighting Intaba YaseDubai and Blaq Diamond. He was poorly marketed and at the same time he felt that the company should have used all the money and resources to take him to another level.”

The source also confirmed that Ambitiouz was ready to take Malome to court for the breach of contract. “The situation of Malome Vector is the same thing as Dubai. He left the label before his contract was over, he has been releasing music on his own.”

The source continued, “Now they are fighting for a song because he had been promoting the song. Kgosi decided to release it first via Ambitiouz Entertainment and this did not sit well with Malome Vector.”

The artist also took to Twitter when asked if the releases were a PR stunt and said that his own record label is his new home.

I can never work with ambitiouz again….I did my part THE WHOLE TIME ENTERTAINMENT IS MY NEW HOME https://t.co/b3uxMapRqx

When ZiMoja asked Malome to comment, he said, “My lawyer is handling my affairs. He advised me not to say anything regarding this matter as it might jeopardise our case.”
