In honour of celebrating Women’s Month in the best way possible, the Malibongwe Arts Festival is set to host their sixth annual ‘Tribute to Women’ concert brought to you by Magula Productions. The event will be taking place at Mark’s Park in Emmerentia, and is described as a celebration that honours the strength, resilience, and creativity of women in South Africa.

According to their website, the heartbeat of this year’s event lies in the compelling line-up the event organisers put together, which includes the likes of amapiano maestro Kelvin Momo and Ringo Madlingozi, who will be accompanied by an array of strong, well-accomplished female artists such as the veteran Zonke, Nomfundo Moh and Lwah Ndlunkulu.

“This year, as we celebrate 30 years of democracy, we also commemorate the victories and strides made by women in various fields. The festival is a testament to their enduring spirit and a platform to amplify their voices. Attendees can expect a rich tapestry of music, art, and culture, intertwined with stories of triumph and perseverance. From electrifying live performances to engaging art and lifestyle activations, the event promises to uplift and empower,” their website explains.

The event organisers took to their social media pages to share news of the complete and thrilling line-up that will be gracing the stage on the day of the event as well as their performance times, which has got attendees more excited than ever.

The event not only aims to empower and uplift the women in our society, it also will be a space of reflection and commemoration of the contributions of women throughout the 30 years of democracy in South Africa. Furthermore, it will also be honouring the role they played prior to democracy.

“The ‘Tribute To Women’ concert is more than a musical gathering; it is a tribute to these extraordinary women and many others whose legacies continue to inspire. Their courage and dedication resonate in every note sung and every melody played at Malibongwe Art Festival,” the event’s website says.

The family-friendly event promises a rich tapestry of music, art, and culture, intertwined with stories of triumph and perseverance. From electrifying live performances to engaging art and lifestyle activations, the event promises to uplift and empower.
