If you’re wondering why “miscarriage” is trending on X (formerly Twitter), Makhadzi’s new album cover has everything to do with it.
The singer said at the beginning of the week that fans can look forward to new music. A few hours ago, she announced the cover art for the album on social media: “You can now pre-save album on the link on my bio. so you can get your jealousy down on Friday.#miraclechild.”

The artwork shows the Mama star topless with words written in black and white superimposed across her image. Fans soon jumped on social media to discuss the inspiration behind the album cover.
When @NotRuff_ tweeted: “This album cover looks so familiar, I can’t put my finger on it,” it got a whole conversation going viral on social media.

Many pointed to Rihanna’s Unapologetic album cover looking similar to Makhadzi’s A Miracle Child. But it was one of the words on the album that got the most attention. An X user mentioned: “Yall ignore the Miscarriage part……yhooo.”

The album could be a cathartic outlet for the singer who had to deal with a lot these past few years. She shared the thought process that went into making the album and the reason for deciding to “bare all”.

During an earlier post, Makhadzi wrote: “I opened my wardrobe and found nothing to wear to cover my pain and celebration.

“Instead, I decided to wear all my pain and celebrations ….
“All challenges in life are God’s protection and all celebrations are God’s blessings and miracles.”
